Who engages them
Subprocessors are engaged by the Swelv entity your organisation contracts with, acting as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum.

Before we add or replace one
We give customers at least 30 days’ notice before a new subprocessor starts processing customer personal data, by updating this page and by email to customers who have asked to be told. A customer can object on reasonable data protection grounds within that period, and the DPA sets out what happens next.

What we require of them
Each subprocessor is bound by a written contract with data protection obligations no less protective than those in the DPA, and we remain responsible to our customers for its performance. Where a subprocessor processes data outside the UK or the EEA, the transfer relies on the safeguard shown in the table.
