Fund Lifecycle

Purpose-built for every fund event.

New LPs join. Nothing breaks.

Funds rarely close once. When new investors enter a second or third closing, swelv calculates their equalization interest automatically and files it against their commitment, so first-close LPs aren't disadvantaged and the new LP isn't manually onboarded.

LP Experience

LPs don't deal with portals.
They deal with swelv.

One view across every fund they're invested in. Capital calls responded to in seconds. Full document library from every GP, automatically populated.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Swelv allocates the amount across LPs according to their commitments, generates a personalized notice for each investor, and delivers it automatically. Every notice includes the payment instructions and a payment reference unique to that LP.

Automatically, the moment the call is issued. Each LP receives their own notice with their allocated amount, due date, and wire details. Nobody sends PDFs or bank details by hand.

Each LP wires with a unique payment reference. When the payment arrives, Swelv detects it and matches it to the right investor and the right capital call automatically. No one checks bank statements or maintains a reconciliation spreadsheet.

No. LPs wire from their own bank, using the instructions in the notice. There is no card checkout or portal payment button. The automation is in everything around the wire: delivering the instructions, matching the payment, and reconciling the ledger.

Settlement runs on standard banking rails, so timing depends on the rails involved. SEPA transfers typically take one to three business days. What Swelv removes is the coordination overhead around the payment, not the banking timeline: no chasing confirmations, no manual matching, no statement checks.

Distribution waterfalls are computed automatically, including European and American structures, carried interest, and clawback. Each LP's share is calculated from the fund's configured terms, and the corresponding notices are generated the same way capital call notices are.

First close, subsequent closes, and equalization. When new LPs are admitted at a later close, equalization amounts are computed automatically and reflected in each capital account.

A GP uploads a quarterly report or fund statement in any format: PDF, Word, or CSV. Swelv reads the document, extracts portfolio positions, fund metrics such as NAV, IRR, and TVPI, and LP capital account data, then updates the dashboards within seconds. Every extracted value is confidence-scored and editable, so the default is automatic and the exception is reviewable.

Yes. Every fund event, notice, payment match, and change is recorded, so the full history behind any number is traceable.
